Left wing Christian haters have managed to take advantage of the "meekness and kindness" of Christians and those with Christians values and have broken through the defenses of the "Secular Progressive Warriors" in the name of tolerance.
Secular progressive warriors such as Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hanity, thousands of preachers, our universities, public schools, the congress of the United States and even the president are accepting some secular progressive demands for fear of being labeled bigots, racist, homophobes and the recently created term Islamophobes.
A great commentary written and posted on WND last July, "Why 'Islamophobia' is a brilliant term", by Dennis Prager, reveals the intellectual sleight of hand by coining the term "Islamophobia". He states, "Whoever coined the term "Islamophobia" was quite shrewd. Notice the intellectual sleight of hand here. The term is not "Muslim-phobia" or "anti-Muslimist," it is Islam-ophobia - fear of Islam - yet fear of Islam is in no way the same as hatred of all Muslims. One can rightly or wrongly fear Islam, or more usually, aspects of Islam, and have absolutely no bias against all Muslims, let alone be a racist.
The equation of Islamophobia with racism is particularly dishonest. Muslims come in every racial group, and Islam has nothing to do with race. Nevertheless, mainstream Western media, Islamist groups calling themselves Muslim civil liberties groups and various Western organizations repeatedly declare that Islamophobia is racism."
Consequently because of the fear of being labeled an Islamophobe, and for the sake of tolerance, on October 4, The U.S. House of Representatives voted for the first time to honor the Islamic holiday of Ramadan, commending Muslims in the U.S. and around the world for their faith. The language of the resolution sponsored by Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) reads: "Recognizing the commencement of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, and commending Muslims in the United States and throughout the world for their faith." The measure passed 376-0, with 42 members voting "Present."
On the evening of October 4, President Bush hosted a Muslim religious observance where he welcomed Muslim officials and clerics to the White House for Muslim prayer and dinner to break their daytime fast during Islam's holy month of Ramadan.
A Pentagon advisor. and national defense analyst Lt. Col. Bob Maginnis (USA-Ret.), states he is concerned that more than 100 Department of Defense (DOD) employees recently attended a Ramadan celebration at the Pentagon, in which two of the speakers had at least fringe connections to radical Islam.
Lt. Col. Bob Maginnis says he got wind of the October 1 event when he received an invitation on his DOD computer. "The person who sent it basically put the tenants of Islam [in the message] -- there are five -- and as far as I am concerned that's the same as sharing the gospel of Christ on a government email server, which of course is frowned upon and considered ethically unlawful by the federal government."
On Tuesday of last week, the House's daily prayer was delivered by a Muslim cleric.
WHILE ISLAM IS BEING EMBRACED, CHRISTIANITY IS BEING SUPPRESSED.
When was the last time you heard John Connors, Ted Kennedy or a member of the mainstream media called a Christianophobe. Yet the "Hate Crimes" bill recently introduced and passed by both houses of congress, would have made it illegal to preach in our churches against the sin of homosexuality, which would have carried a penalty of up to twenty years in prison. Thank God, our president, the last man standing, vetoed the bill.
However. Satan never rests and on September 7, the bill was reintroduced and slipped into the military defense bill by Senators Ted Kennedy (D-Massachusetts) and Gordon Smith (R-Oregon). This time the bill left it to the discretion of the judge to determine what constituted a "hate crime". Just imagine what the activist liberal judges could do with this law. It would be more powerful than the 'separation of church and state" law that is presently being used to eliminate God from our culture. What if a preacher preached on hell - twenty years of prison? What if a preacher preached against homosexuality -- twenty years of prison? What if a college student gave out Christian tracts on campus -- twenty years of prison? What if you were to approach a stranger in public inviting them to church -- twenty years of prison? According to this bill, it would up to the judge.
Tom McClusky, FRC's vice president of government affairs, says "How soon are they going to be naming churches as terrorist organizations, and using a lot of these laws to put down Christian speech and calling the Bible 'hate speech'?" he asks. "We're seeing it not just in other countries, but we're also ... seeing it today in different cities and also on college campuses [in America]."
The White House has vowed to veto the DOD bill because of the inclusion of the "hate crimes" amendment.
But what if we had a secular progressive president in office today. THEN TODAY FUNDAMENTAL CHRISTIANS WOULD BE CONDUCTING CHURCH SERVICES IN THEIR BASEMENTS. That's how close we are. ONE PERSON.
Charles Finney, a famous Freewill Baptist Preacher (1792 - 1875) stated -- Politics are part of a religion in such a country as this and Christians must do their duty to the country as a part of their duty to God. It seems sometimes as if the foundations of the nation are becoming rotten, and Christians seem to act as if they think God does not see what they do in politics. But I tell you He does see it, and He will bless or curse this nation, according to the course they (Christians) take.
This applies today more than it ever has since the beginning of America, which was founded on Christian values.
Our pastors must quit hiding behind their podiums and assume the leadership responsibility of strengthening the family, prompting civic activism and affecting public policy outcomes. Pastors who do not back down from addressing cultural issues that affects the church and our religious freedoms. Where culture is breaking down, pastors must stand in the gap. If they don't, who will?

It is critical that all Christians understand the significance of their role in politics and civil affairs. YOU MUST VOTE for Christian leaders in the next election at the very least. Better still get involved by campaigning, donating money and educating other Christians and encouraging them to participate.
If the Democrats continue to control both the House and Senate, and are successful at putting the next president into the White House, we can be reasonably assured that within a few years, Fundamental Christians will be forced to conduct church in their basements. The rest will simply become buildings hosting Sunday morning fashion shows and tea parties.
