According to a recent research carried out by researchers at the Ohio State University, feeling of insecurity and anxiousness in your romantic relationship may pose a serious threat to your health. The findings were based on study of some 100 couples and researchers took note of their general anxiety levels and quality of their sleep and married life. It was then found that participants exhibiting higher levels of anxiety and insecurity possessed higher levels of stress hormone called cortisol.
At the same time, they were reported with lower level cells dubbed T-cells, which help body's immune system to kick off the infections. Frequent worries about losing romance and faith in relationship proved highly detrimental towards heath. The study asserted that, in many of the couples, angst emerged from the thoughts like if their partner really loved them. In addition, a number of partners feared rejection, leading to adverse physiological consequences and putting a long term affect on health, affirmed Lisa Jaremka, the lead Author of the study and a postdoctoral fellow at Ohio State University's Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research.
Do not think that your health is automatically deteriorated because your relationship has troubles sometimes and it gets to you. However, that will take a toll on your health if you begin to let it eat at you constantly. This constant stress will begin to take a toll on you.
