When a young couple are planning that most special of days in their lives together Evey little detail is important. While the big things such as choosing a minster, a venue for the ceremony and the perfect dress are obvious things to come to mind there is one that most people may not think about till. It is nearly too late. There are some major considerations that one needs to keep in mind when they are choosing restaurants for weddings in Manhattan.

The important thing to remember is that most of the very popular venues will be expensive and that they tend to be booked up to a year or more in advance of the date that they are needed. Don't despair though if you have missed out on the chance to have a popular "dream" restaurant for your needs. There are a lot of great alternatives that are hidden gems just waiting for your phone call.

A major advantage that you may find with booking ahead of time, in addition to having a better chance at getting the date you want, is that you may get a better rate for the rental or a better price on the menu. You may also be asked to provide a non-refundable deposit to secure your date. This is common and is in the best interest of the venue to provide your a guaranteed date slot.

If there is no party room, pay the extra to rent out the venue for the evening. It is very awkward for the guests to feel like they are on display for the other patrons of the restaurant while at your event. The extra cost is well worth the comfort and enjoyment of your loved ones in attendance.

Many venue will allow you to provide your own music for the event but some don't. If the location you are using does not then ask if the music that they pipe in can be turned off unless its something neutral or ambient to the setting. The background music sets the tone and you wants your tone to reflect the personality of you and your spouse to be.

Often setting a choice for the dinner off of the catering menu is a great cost control measure over letting guests choose form the main menu. If there is a bar on site, let guests know that they are responsible for their adult beverages, but that a drink limit is imposed of two cocktails. The wedding party should cover the cost of the wine and soft beverages as part of the dinner however.

If you have chosen to go with a lesser known venue make sure that you give your guests good directions as well as clear information about parking. If they do not have parking on site, get a recommendation and see if you can get a group deal with the provider. Pay for it out of the wedding budget and send a parking pass with the invites to your guests. They will more than appreciate the gesture.

Choosing restaurants for weddings in Manhattan does not have to be a stressful thing. With careful planning and forethought, choosing the right venue for your needs will be easy. The important thing to remember is that the most popular venues are booked up to a year in advance or more so be willing to get creative and most of all enjoy this once in a lifetime even in your lives.
