By Deane Igler

Did you know that you can still enjoy the church if you are a visitor in Japan? If the only language you are able to speak and understand is English, there is no reason that your visit should hold you back from your worship. That is why there is an English service church in Sendai. It is a church that is designed to do good for the world and bring even more faith to the people of Japan whether you are visiting or a long term resident.

The main difference is that the English service church in Sendai takes place on Saturday of each week because on Sunday, the two pastors that serve the church, Caleb and Christina Chang provide their services to Kesennuma on Sunday to help the survivors of the tsunami keep their own faith alive. They were there within ten days of the tsunami and brought with them 200 volunteers to help out in the area where most of the devastation took place. Pastor Caleb stayed for a full three months full time.

How would you like to become a part of their efforts to show God's love with those who need it the most? Would you be willing to share food and express your compassion to and for the people who are hurting and lost without it? They need you to show them you care also. The Sendai church is part of the FCBC Singapore and it is also a part of the Baptist faith.

If you are ready to discover the lessons you can learn and become a part of something truly great, language does not have to be a barrier for you anymore. You can visit this church and celebrate Jesus along with them. Their goal is simple, they want to help everyone learn how to create a stronger family and community to call home. Let them help you discover the hidden purpose in your life and make your family life a little bit better also.

There are also fun things to enjoy throughout the year at this English service church in Sendai. During the Christmas season, the children in the area put on a play to teach about Jesus and to celebrate His life. Near Valentine's Day, there were special things for both married couples and singles to take part in. This can help you gain an understanding of the differences between you and your life partner or perhaps allow you to get to know other singles in the area if you choose to become a part of it in future years.

In a world that is kind of crazy, wouldn't it be nice to meet with others in your area who have the same beliefs as you do? That is what the English service church in Sendai can help you find that type of community. It is a place you can go to share your Baptist faith with others who trust in Jesus as much as you do. How much would you enjoy finding peace in a hectic world?

Before you sacrifice your faith because of your family vacation or recent arrival in Japan, choose to keep it and worship with an English service church in Sendai.
