When it comes to special occasions, many individuals like to express their creativity and provide special items to their guests to commemorate the day. Most times these products will be functional, yet attractive enough to also serve as a unique party favor or sentimental keepsake. There are quite a few features that may be fully customized when ordering 50th anniversary napkins or the like.

This type of paper product is required for both beverages and food service though a good many individuals find such personalized items to be perfect keepsakes. Imagine the inconvenience that could be experienced if there were not an ample amount for guests to use for the entirety of the event. As a simple rule, it is advisable to order at least three for every person that is expected to be in attendance.

One might not consider this to be a particularly difficult task, but quite a bit does go into ordering customized items. The individual may need to make choices such as the size items required, which colors are best suited, should the design be flat or embossed, texture and personalized printing. When combined, all of these features come together to create a totally unique product for their event.

Which of the four size options will be best is usually the first thing the person will need to decide. The smallest option is the 5" square beverage piece which is typically used with each cocktail made and appetizers that are served by catering staff. The luncheon is slightly larger at 6.5" and is commonly placed on dessert tables or other self serve stations.

More formally served meals are generally paired with the dinner option which has a folded surface area of 8.5" squared for bigger messes or frequent use. A design known as a guest towel provides a specialized look with its 4.5" x 8.5" rectangular paper shape. Certain sites will prepackage bundles which will be made up of a set amount of specific sizes for quick and easy ordering.

A large part of customization is the printed inscription which generally consists of the names of the honorees, the special date, and maybe the reason for the celebration. Some other frequently used options are special quotes, monograms, symbols and embellishments. Printing may be done in either standard inks or in foils for a slightly metallic sparkle.

The overall look can be made even more memorable and unique by using special layouts and designs. Some of these are understated like simply adding a logo or symbol above the inscription, while others are rather elaborate and encompass the entire piece. There are numerous ways in which all the available options could be combined to create specialized items.

Another customization option is to select whether the edges will be standard straight, rough and raw, or die cut for a special silhouette. A few other selections one might be able to make are between semi-crepe and facial quality textures, coined or smoothed borders, and how thick the paper will be. Through the process of combining all the different details, individuals can create something truly special for their event.
