The Depths Of Your Heart

By Evan Sanders

The deepest part of your heart can turn out to be a pretty pure place to go. I once thought it's a place of intense confusion and where the past lived, but I truly have come to find that it's really a place of honest purity.

These thoughts and emotions that I feel inside have been directly claimed by others to be intense and for some reason I have experienced some kind of negativeness with this word. Perhaps it's the way I am taking it? Perhaps it's the way I interpret that word? Nonetheless, I'm starting to begin to find this emotional force about life is really pure simplicity manifesting itself.

I am hooking up and linking into the purity of a few of these feelings that I have never absolutely experienced before. Maybe that's the idea right there - totally experiencing emotions.

When we shut ourselves off from experiencing negative emotions we also shut ourselves off from experiencing the wide range of positive ones also. The deepest part of your heart can be a place that you can go to grasp the truths about yourself instead of a place you've got to be scared of. In this place, there exist lessons of love and enthusiasm. Why would you want to go there?

I think we are scared of this place because we have experienced how wild and intense a number of these emotions we go through are and that shocks the hell out of us. For whatever reason, we are taught to keep a lid on ourselves and not stray too far outside the middle because that's the secure place to play. No, I'd rather climb dangerous trees and travel into unknown lands than play it safe.

That game really isn't for me...the playing it safe game in life.

The midst of your heart can become a place you go to grasp the subtleties and mysteries of this life. There are very many things that we don't understand about what is going on in this world just because we can't see them. Infrequently, you've got to run on faith. You have to be content to put your feet forward, one after the next right into the dense fog and function on that faith. Will it be frightening? You can bet your money on it. Will it be worth it? Oh completely. Time and again you should travel into your heart to find your true self and start to function in a way that is really connected and present with the world. If you can try that, there is no cap on what you may become.

So what will it be today?
