Steps In Creating School Mascot Murals

By Christine Olson

Just imagine how bad your situation was before. From the time you wake up until you go to sleep, your parents were still pestering you about getting good grades for the sake of your life and all that other stuff. You probably already memorized every single word they said to you from morning until night.

Judging from how we picture it out for you, it might sound like an exaggeration of what really happened. Unfortunately, that really is how things rolled before. Not to worry though, it actually will contribute good stuff for you when the time comes. But before that happens, try killing some time by making school mascot murals.

One of probably the most common ways of expressing how you really feel is through showing your emotions based on the creations you make. Aside from it being therapeutic, you also get recognition, and even cash from it. But before mastering the craft, you need to read and follow these steps first.

The very first thing that you must do is plan and list down every single detail which will be applied to your project. It totally is of absolute necessity to never forget the little things. These small and miniscule details actually are the ones to give life to your art. Without it, your outcome will seem lame.

After doing so, it also is pretty important to see to it that the measurements you take are extremely correct and accurate. A single size that is not measured right can actually destroy everything you worked so hard for. Surely, you would not want all those things to just go to waste because of one thing only.

We already mentioned number three before and that is to see where you actually wish to put this stuff. Since you have decided to work on a mural, an already set up space is necessary. No canvas or papers will be used for this one. The smoother surface you choose, the better image you can get from it.

Being an artist, you probably already know that working on a surface with mixed up colors is very hard. You are forced to adjust to every single hue for the sake of making it seem like they came from the same color. Save your own self from the hard work by coloring the entire base with one hue only.

Since you currently are dealing with paint, erasing your mistakes and mess ups are way easier said than actually done. But then again, nobody is ever perfect. We are bound to mess up every now and then. To make the burden lighter, work your way from the back to the front to avoid having to erase the entire thing.

The last but definitely not the least is coating everything with liquid seal. Whether it is on water based form on inside a can, it still does not matter as long as you get to cover every nook and cranny of the image. Leaving a spot unprotected could start a problem for not just one part but the whole piece.
