Christians are the salt of the world. They are also the light. It is not reasonable to place the light under a table. It needs to be in a place where it will shine and become visible. On the other hand, a Christian should be a shining example of what it means to be morally upright. A true Christian never fails to attend a local church on Sunday. He also congregates with other believers, other days of the week. The sheer number of churches Dewey makes it hard to decide on which church to choose. One needs a Bible-believing church.

Church membership starts with baptism. This might involve total immersion in water. Alternatively, it can simply be the pouring of a little water on the head. Irrespective of the mode of baptism, it will mark a turning point in the life of an individual. After being baptized, a person is supposed to change his way of life. Being totally transformed is crucial.

Catholic Church is a very popular denomination. There are more than one billion Catholics in the world. The Roman Catholic Church has existed for centuries. Its headquarters is in Rome. It was the first church. According to Catholic doctrine, the founder of the Catholic Church is the Apostle Paul. This church is headed by the pope. Below the pope are arch-bishops.

Basically, there are two major Christian denominations. These are Catholicism and Protestantism. Both of these denominations are based on the Bible. However, they have a few differences. Catholic priests and other important members of the clergy are not supposed to marry. However, Protestant priests can marry. Protestantism started with the Reformation of the Catholic Church. Reformation resulted in many churches.

In America, the Baptist church is very common. This church is indigenously American. Baptist missionaries have done a lot of work. They have spread the gospel to many countries. The Bible commands Christians to spread the good word. It is only when Christianity spreads to all places that the end will come. Earthly life is only a temporary affair for humans.

The main message of the Bible is that earthly life is temporary. Death is a guarantee. No one will live forever. After death, an individual can either go to heaven or hell. The kind of life that one lived will determine where he will spend eternity. Those who were righteous during their earthly life will spend eternity in a great place called Paradise.

There is a consequence for every action. If one commits a sin and does not repent, there is punishment. That punishment is eternal death which means spending the afterlife in a very dark place called hell. This is a place of suffering. There is no rest in hell. People are burned all the hours of the day and the fire never stops.

One of the oldest religions in the world is Christianity. America, England, and other Western countries were founded on a Christian foundation. That is why USA, UK, and other European countries are some of the richest countries in the world. Christianity is not only about striving to go to Paradise. It also involves living an abundant life on earth.
