7 Myths About The Weeping Statue Virgin Mary

By Matthew Hayes

Matters of faith are very sensitive to most people because of the different doctrines that govern different religions. For instance, a supernatural phenomenon happened recently at a Catholic church in Hobbs, New Mexico. A Weeping Statue Virgin Mary was discovered by some believers that made so many people amazed. Those who have never seen something like this started praying to the sculpting immediately. This molding attracted so many people as well as visitors from all over the world. Believers claim that this is an important miracle from God. The following are myths that have been attached to the crying molding.

When the molding was discovered crying, it was claimed that it shed tears of olive and balsam oils. These oils are vital in the Catholic faith. This is because bishops use the mixture to bless people as well as carry out certain important rituals. Hence, people gather at the sculpture to meditate and intercede.

This is not the first molding to be found crying. So many others have been discovered over the years by the Catholic believers. A good example is Madonna molding in Syracuse. This molding was made using plaster. It has been crying since 1953. Additionally, more other moldings in Hungary, Argentina and Macedonia were found to be weeping as well. Therefore, this is a common ordeal in Catholicism.

The people that can appreciate and connect the miracles and the holy Virgin Mary are the only ones who can purely understand why these moldings are weeping. Thus, you have to be a believer to understand this phenomenon. The Catholics believe that this woman begot Jesus Christ. This naturally makes her the blessed mother of God. Therefore, she is powerful and can perform so many miracles.

During the big battle in Lepanto in 1951, believers believed that they got the victory because this holy woman interceded for them. Over the centuries, Catholic believers have been interceding through her. They believe that she has powers to make them victorious in their daily battles with the evil one. Therefore, Catholic believers continue to intercede and meditate through this holy and powerful woman who is the mother of God.

The tears that sculpting sheds are very significant in the faith of most Catholic believers because they believe that she is crying for the world. The world is very sinful, which makes this woman sorrowful. Also, she cries because she went through difficult times on earth. Also, she continues to cry because of Christs crucifixion.

Additionally, this woman is called a thornless rose. She is depicted to be pure by the balsam and olive oils. Her powerful nature makes people fear her and believe that she is capable of interceding for them. Believers have thus turned the molding to a prayer object and meditate daily.

Nevertheless, it is the work of the local bishop to run an investigation whenever a molding starts crying. The bishop creates a committee that runs the investigations. This committee evaluates the supernatural happenings of the crying molding, using the guidelines and standards of the Vatican doctrines to tell whether the tears are genuine or not.
