The Different Teachings Of The Hope Lutheran Church Marble Falls

By Maria Powell

There are around 80 millions Lutherans in the world. The most Lutheran nations in the world are Germany, the United States of America, Brazil, South Africa, India, and Tanzania. Lutheranism can be traced back to Germany. This is the birthplace of Protestantism. Up to the present day, the headquarters of Lutheranism is in Germany. Lutherans have done many good things on earth. They have made the world to be a better place through education and health. They have spread the gospel to all the four corners of the world. The Hope Lutheran Church Marble Falls is an important part of Lutheranism.

Lutheranism is Protestant in every sense and respect. At first, there was only Catholicism. Then, the Great Reformation occurred as a result of grievances with Catholicism. That led to Protestantism. As a matter of fact, Catholicism and Protestantism do not conflict each other. Actually, they complement each other. They have a lot in common. The similarities are more than the differences. There is unity in Christianity.

The Hope Lutheran Church is a Bible believing church. The Bible needs to be at the heart and center of a true church. Without the Bible, there is simply no Christianity. That is the plain truth. It is the ultimate reality that every believer should be aware of. The Holy Bible should be the light and compass of a true believer.

Hope Lutheran Church teaches about morality. This is the most important teaching in Christianity. Moral living should not be the exception. It must be the order of the day. The life of a Christian should conform to the Ten Commandments that were handed down to Moses on Mount Sinai. These should be the compass of a true believer.

The opposite of morality is immorality. An immoral lifestyle involves committing all manner of sin. Actually, sin is not a new thing. It is as old as time. Sin started with Adam and Eve. These were the first human beings. They committed sin by refusing to follow instructions and eating the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden.

Sin is a cancer that has to be dealt with in the best manner possible. The only medicine for sin is salvation through the cross. Any human being who humbly comes before the cross and repents of all his sin will definitely find forgiveness. As a matter of fact, salvation is offered free of charge to every human being.

Repenting of sins is not the end of the road. It is just but one side of the equation. The other side involves getting baptized. On one hand, there is the first birth. On the other hand, there is the second birth. The first birth is physical in nature while the second birth is spiritual in nature and it involves baptism.

After baptism, one needs to live a life that is worthy of baptism. One should follow the straight and narrow path because this is the path that leads to life. Wide is the road that leads to hell. Actually, hell is a place of suffering. It is a place of forever torment. Heaven is a beautiful place.
