For most military families, receiving a knock at the door to reveal an individual in uniform is a shock as they receive the news about the passing of a loved one. All persons on duty regardless of rank are provided dignified transport arrangements. Military Funeral Services are different from traditional ceremonies as it delivers a number of formal processes and honors the sacrifices made by the deceased.

These matters are often handled with the transport of a flag covered casket to an airbase. The body is handled with care and the utmost respect until it reaches the funeral home where it is prepared for the ceremony. In most instances, the deceased member will be dressed in complete uniform as a sign of respect, honor, and duty.
