Why Some Of The Catholic Issues Go Unsolved

By Laura Mitchell

The congregation of the present day age is experiencing a couple of challenges that are undermining its presence. In this manner, this article will educate especially on catholic issues being the first church that ever existed after the demise of Jesus Christ.

It is now 2000 years since the inception of the church. Some parts of the world there have diminished membership, especially in the Catholic Church because the church is resistant to change. Because of the diversity of opinion, the Catholic Church is finding some resistance in the developed world due to its traditions.

Interestingly, the church continues to possess divergent views, and they remain resilient of contentious issues pertaining chastity, birth controls, and celibacy. For a considerable length of time, the men of clothing have been part of the problems bedeviling the church because they are caught in the sexual misconduct. Clerics and ministers of the word of God involve themselves in sexual relations contrary to the world of God.

This irresponsible action of the men of God has led to churches taking drastic actions to stem out the vices in the house of God. The media is also in the forefront in exposing the men of God that take advantage of the church. These vices have discouraged many from going to the church because there is no difference with those that do not go to church.

The church must make bold steps to charge its errant clerics that want to prey on the flock by doing things that are contrary to the word of God. The Bible must be the supreme law that guide church doctrines in all its activities if Christianity will outlive the modern ideologies that encourage lots of liberalism.

It becomes difficult to the Church to be an institution of moral standing if its leadership is engaging in activities that are contrary to Gods word directly or indirectly by tolerating those involved in the vices. Though the media has tried to point out these scandals, it still becomes difficult to stop because it is done in top secrecy and even if the affected are caught their colleagues help them to escape.

Celibacy is becoming one of the hot topics in Catholic circles. Recently a group of Catholic faithful broke away from the original Church and formed a reformed Catholic church that does not observe celibacy as part of their doctrine. Some argue that celibacy is encouraging the errant behavior of some priests because they have physical contact with women within their residences. The irony is that if a priest does not marry then how they can arbitrate the everyday marriage matters that affect the flock.

If a criminal action would be taken against clergy who involve in unlawful, indecent acts such as having sexual relations with children, then it will set an example to others planning to commit such vices within the establishments of the church. If celibacy is the reason for having such issues in the church, then the doctrine needs to be reviewed. Some of the other issues that need closer relook are the use of contraception and the role of women as priests.
