The Core Teachings Of The Episcopal Church In Lake Norman NC

By Joyce Graham

Religion is as old as time. Since the first humans, there has always been religion. Over the millenniums, religion has evolved. For the most part, Abraham is considered the father of faith. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism share one thing in common: Abraham. Judaism inspired Christianity to some extent. The Bible says that Christianity will spread to all the four corners of the world then the end will come. Presently, Christians are everywhere. They are in the Far East and also in the Far West. In the United States of America, some Christians are followers of the Episcopal Church in Lake Norman NC.

The various teachings of the Episcopal Church are based on the Bible. This is the most holy book of Christianity. A true Christian will follow the Bible to the letter. It will be the light of his feet and will always guide his conscience. Heaven and Earth will pass away but no single Biblical message will pass without being fulfilled. That is the ultimate truth.

The Bible does not lie. There is no single Biblical prophecy that will fail to be fulfilled. Some have already been fulfilled. The remaining ones will be fulfilled in the near future. The Old Testament starts with Genesis and it has many prophetic books. The New Testament has fulfillments of many prophesies and also has the gospel books like Mathew.

A major Episcopalian teaching is the belief in holiness and repentance. A Christian is required to repent his sins on a regular basis. Actually, there is the need to lead a holy life. Doing so will lead to many rewards in the present life and also in the life to come. Honestly, morality makes the world to become a better place.

The Baptismal teaching must never be underestimated at any moment in time. One can never become a true Episcopalian unless he is baptized. That is also the case with other Christian denominations. After being baptized, one should turn a new page and start a fresh life. Baptism needs to be given the seriousness it deserves by a true believer.

The teaching of prayer must never be underestimated at any moment in time. It is important to pray steadfastly and without ceasing. That is the only way that one will get an answer to his prayer. If one wants something, he should ask it in prayer. The prayer of faith will actually heal the sick. It is also advisable to fast.

Another Episcopalian teaching is the teaching of the afterlife. Most Christian faiths believe that life does not end on earth but there is an afterlife that awaits believers. That is also a common teaching in Islam and Judaism. At the end of the road, every human being will be judged based on his actions on earth. One will end up in either heaven or hell.

Striving for physical wellness is not a bad thing. It is not immoral to be rich so long as one acquires his riches in the right manner. However, it does not profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul in hell. That is why spiritual health is the most important asset that a human being can possess.
