The Relevance Of Youth Church Clayton NC

By Susan Walker

The youthful years are the most confusing years. How these years are spent and what is learned will significantly impact on the kind of an adult one will become. Most ministries have found ways of incorporating the youth into the church by organizing some special programs for them. One of these special programs is the young Christian service. This service has proved to be very useful and can be found in a youth church Clayton NC.

Most teenagers do not like sharing what they go through with close relatives and sometimes friends. This leaves them with no one to share their problems with or listen to their challenges. The service created for the teenagers is an alternative forum for them to get the help they need in facing their challenges and anxieties. This acts a support group for them.

Secondly, it gives an opportunity for the teenagers to serve. This helps them not to feel left out in the community. On the other hand, it provides a chance for them to use the energy that they have well. This ensures they get duties which make them occupied after school.

The youth leader who is probably a young pastor will mostly allow the congregation to work in groups. This will let everyone take an active role in the group depending on the tasks that are given. Team building skills are learned as a result. Working as a team enables young Christians to appreciate each other.

Also, spiritual growth is improved when the teenagers attend these services. When reading the bible and taking time to understand what it means, it helps them to believe in the word. The discussion on the scriptures in a group enables one to be able to interpret it when one wants to undertake the process alone. The growth empowers the youths to become active participants in fulfilling the purpose of God.

Similarly, when the teenagers attend the services regularly, they get a better understanding of the word of God. This enables them to relate to personal experiences and thus creating a better way of solving problems. This will eventually bring up adults who know how to solve problems in more reasonable ways in the future.

Reading the holy book ensures a personal relationship with the Almighty. Reading the scriptures alone may sometimes seem monotonous. Discussing the scriptures and reading the bible as a team makes it exciting and easy to understand. This is because the different points of view can get discussed and and a solution arrived at.

Self-esteem issues are a challenge for the young. Young Christian churches tend to work on this aspect by organizing camps, activities, and games. The Christian community needs the youth the same way the teens needs it. Having a service for teens ensures that they are actively involved with the activities of the sanctuary and are not engaging in illegal activities. Ministries that have not yet created the young service should give it a thought.
