All the disciples were to increase in large number and go out and share the hidden truth about Jesus Christ, the meaning of the cross the message of hope for the people of God. They were to teach people what Jesus taught and constantly remind them of these teachings as well.
The most important part, Jesus asked His disciples to baptize people in the name of the Father, of the Son of Man and of the Holy Spirit. They were to heal and drive out demons in the name of Jesus Christ and never take the glory of God for their own. They were to stand firm in faith and let no challenge make them feel like giving up on preaching the message and make Christ known.

They faced challenges, some were jailed and all got killed, but their faith still lives with mankind.
